Rolls Royce will unveil a brand-new car next week, which will see the brand enter and all-new market segment.

Rolls Royce Cullinan

On May 10th, the Cullinan - a high-sided SUV - will make its debut at 12:00 AM BST (7:00AM EDT).

Much of the car’s details and specs have been kept firmly under wraps ahead of its official launch.

A number of the car’s features have, however, been confirmed which include the ‘Viewing Suite.’

The 'Viewing Suite' consists of a pair of leather wrapped seats and a cocktail table which folds out from the boot compartment of the SUV.

In addition to this, it will be constructed from an aluminium spaceframe platform called the 'Architecture of Luxury.'

The platform was first used on the construction of the new Phantom and will eventually underpin all Rolls-Royce cars.

It is expected to also share the same 6.75-litre V12 engine as the Phantom which proceeded 563bhp and 900Nm of torque, paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The car will also with an all-wheel-drive system - a first on a Rolls.

The Cullinan has been rigorously put through its paces ahead of the launch Throughout the car’s development it has been spotted testing on sand dunes, up rocky paths and on ice and snow tracks - something you can imagine tis owners won’t be doing.

Some spy shots of the car wearing camouflage reveal the car’s overall shape, which looks a little bulky and unorthodox.

It is likely to wear a modified version of the Phantom’s grille and share some of the same design language, adopting a similar face but in large proportions.

Like a true Rolls, the car’s doors are will open towards the rear.

While it probably won’t be the best looking SUV on the road from the outside, it is unlikely to find many rival when it comes to the interior.
