Isreal's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected the UN migration pact sayind that Israel will not be signing the United Nations’ global migration pact set to be signed next month in Marrakech, Morocco.
The Prime Minister said he has  instructed the Foreign Ministry to announce that Israel won’t participate [in the Marrakech gathering]and won’t sign the migration pact.

He went further by sayings they have a duty to guard their country against illegal infiltrators.”

The Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration is due to be formally approved at the 11-12 December meeting in Marrakech.

The Jewish Nation-State Law requires the government “to stand up for a clear migration policy that protects our borders from illegal infiltrators.”

The United States pulled its participation in negotiations on the compact over the numerous provisions which are “inconsistent with US immigration and refugee policies” under President Donald Trump.

Some other countries withdrew from the pact, including Hungary  and Austria withdrew in July and  October respectively. the Austrian government  withdrew over concerns about national sovereignty.

Australia, Poland, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic and Austria have also withdrawn. On 31 October, the European Commission expressed regret over Austria’s decision to withdraw.

Austria is the country holding the rotating EU presidency. Jean-Claude Juncker said last Monday in Berlin, that “those countries that decided they are leaving the UN migration compact, had they read it, they would not have done it”.
