The member representing Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. Oghene Emma Egoh, on Tuesday, pleaded with the constituents of Bomadi/Patani to re-elect Hon. Nicholas Mutu as their representative for the sixth term in 2019 to enable him consolidate his position as the highest ranking member of the House of Representatives.

Hon. Egoh, who spoke during the thanksgiving service organised by Hon. Mutu’s in Bomadi, Delta State, in commemoration of his victory at the Supreme Court, emphasized that it would be more beneficial to return Mutu to enable him attract more development to the area.

“Ranking plays a foremost role in the allocation of positions to a legislator in the National Assembly. Hon. Mutu enjoys so much respect among our colleagues in the House and so the constituency needs to encourage so that he can consolidate his position”, Egoh added.

He described Mutu as a major force in the House of Representatives, noting that his contribution to the stability and achievements of the lower chambers makes it compelling for the House to have his input in its decisions.

Also, a former chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and leader in the Bomadi/ Patani Federal Constituency, Dr. Pius Sinebe, spoke on the same commendatory note as he stated that Mutu has effectively used his position to attract development which he further described as unmatched in the history of the constituency.

Earlier in his testimony, the celebrant, Hon. Mutu expressed gratitude to God for his victory at the Supreme Court and also commended his constituents for staying by him during the trying moments of the pre-election matter.

He said his major concern was to transform the fortunes of his constituency positively, and pledged his commitment to transform the rural setting of the communities to urban centers, which he noted had eluded the area before the advent of the current democratic dispensation.

He expressed appreciation to Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, and Senator James Manager, representing Delta South Senatorial District and a host of other leaders for their support all these years.

Traditional rulers from BOmadi, Patani and Burutu local government areas attended the ceremony while Money Jacob and other gospel artistes entertained the audience.
