Demonstration continue: We want regime change not just Bouteflika step down plan

Mustapha Bouchachi, a lawyer and protest leader, said on Tuesday: Despite the decision made by the Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika’s to denounced his presidential status by April 28 this year, the Algerians insisted “it will make no different and things will still remain the way it has been” and demonstrations will continue because it's not just Bouteflika resignation needed but change of regime.

 “The most crucial part of it to us is that we do not accept” and “Peaceful protests will continue.” the new caretaker government, Bouchachi told Reuters. 

On Tuesday, Hundreds of students marched in Algeria's streets asking for the resignation of Bouteflika and the replacement of Algeria’s political system with immediate effect.

 The crowd chanted: “We want a regime change” and “We don’t want Bouteflika or Said,” referring to his brother and presidential adviser.
